Which class is right for you?

Puppy:

In puppy class we focus on teaching basic skills like sit, down, loose leash walking, and no jumping. Our puppy class instructors are qualified AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy evaluators and can get your puppy set up for success in your home with basic manners.

Age: Puppies 12 weeks to 6 months

Basic Socialization:

Basic Socialization class is made for our current students who are looking to practice their obedience skills around other dogs and people in a controlled setting. It can be hard to socialize your dog in the right way. Our instructors help with that.

Age: Current clients, 12 weeks and up

Basic Obedience:

Basic Obedience class is made for beginner dogs who have never been in a group class before and are just starting their training journey. In Basic Obedience, we teach the first stages of sit, down, here, heel, stay, place, leave it, and drop it. These skills lay the foundation for obedience in the home and later in public.

Age: 12 weeks and up

Intermediate Obedience:

Intermediate Obedience class is our second stage in our obedience series and looks at getting your dog ready for doing commands with more distance, distraction, and duration. New skills taught in this class are finish command, heelwork for crowds or competition, front, rear-end awareness, and distance commands.

Prerequisites: Basic Obedience or Puppy or trainer discretion

Advanced CGC:

Advanced CGC class is the third stage in our obedience series and works on getting you and your dog prepped for the CGC exam and for life. New skills taught in this class include leash walking by other dogs, polite greeting and handling with friendly strangers, and working on how to properly fade rewards for your dog.

Prerequisites: Intermediate Obedience or trainer discretion

Advanced Novice:

Advanced Novice is all about prepping your dog for the competition obedience ring. Have you ever wanted to show off how amazing your dog is? Or wanted to teach something more advanced like a stand stay, or off-leash heelwork? This class focuses on teaching the skills needed in a competition setting as well as expectations for the competition ring.

Prerequisites: Advanced class or trainer discretion

Advanced Field Trip:

Advanced Field Trip class is all about taking your skills out on the road with your dog. You’ve worked hard to add in distractions, distance, and duration to your training already, and now it’s time to have some fun taking these skills out and about with a trainer to guide you. This class is held in public dog friendly spaces and works on applying your skills to the real world. If you’re looking to train for the CGCU or CGCA, this class is for you. New skills taught in this class include stay in tight spaces to allow for traffic, heel work for crowds with dogs, real-life leave it, and brewery/patio manners.

Prerequisites: CGC title or trainer discretion

Therapy:

Therapy class is for dogs and their people who are interested in getting ready for therapy work settings. This class is taught by trainers who can help guide you through the process of getting your dog certified for therapy work and will teach commands with distractions that will set your dog up for success when their therapy visits start. Skills worked on in this class include settling on place, strong stay command, dog greetings, and more.

Prerequisites: CGC title or trainer discretion
