No one can beat a dog at unconditional love. Why not celebrate this Valentine’s Day by taking your furry valentine on a date?
Not sure where to go besides the pet store? Check out our top three doggy date ideas below! These places welcome dogs who are friendly, well mannered, and on leash.
Hit up a Café or Brewery
Some cafes are becoming pet friendly. Turns out that taking your four legged friends to get your caffeine fix is in!
Not all cafes are pet friendly, so make sure to call ahead first.
One of our favorites in the Norman area is Dutch Bros Coffee. Don’t forget to get your Valentine a puppuccino while you’re at it!
Not much into coffee? Check with your local brewery. Our favorites around town that allow dogs are (405) Brewing Co. and Equity Brewing Company.
Take a Hike
Is your dog more the outdoorsy sort? Hit up a trail and get some sunshine in.
Getting some exercise together could be the bonding time you need.
Make sure to let your Valentine take in all the smells; it’s basically like letting them scroll social media.
One of our favorite local spots is Sutton Wilderness Trail Park.
Shop ’til you Drop
Want to get in some retail therapy with your Valentine? Many stores are dog friendly!
Bookworms will be pleased to hear that Green Feather Book Company is dog friendly.
Needing to try some new fits? Lucca‘s Norman location has you and your Valentine covered.
Maybe you’d like to shop for some home décor instead. STASH loves it when pets come to visit. Another favorite of ours is Sandalwood and Sage, just double check the hours before you go. They may not be open on Valentine’s Day itself.
Thinking you need to take on a home improvement project? Habitat ReStore, Ace Hardware, and Lowes welcome dogs, too.
